This hands-on seminar will teach you how to give your web videos the wow factor. Attendees will manipulate video using creative techniques and practice tricks to add visual appeal and depth to stories. Participants will also learn to capture and edit audio files to produce podcasts or enhance text stories with polished audio interviews. Discussions of optimal CMS choices, video and audio hosts and software will be included. Each attendee will be equipped with field gear (camera, wireless mic, tripod, etc.) and a Mac workstation with the latest editing software. Instructed by a former network videographer/editor/producer now multimedia specialist, each attendee will have the opportunity to apply skills learned in real time.
This seminar is designed for college student reporters, editors, television producers, and other media students and their advisers who want immersive training in web audio and video production.
The seminar is limited to 20 attendees. Sessions will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday.
